What to do, in order.

The first steps weigh the most.

  1. Note it on delivery

On the delivery document, before you sign.

  2. Tell us within 3 working days

As soon as you find the damage.

  3. Do not move the cargo

Leave it as it is until the surveyor sees it.

  4. Send the documents

    A complete file moves faster.

Which documents we need.

Frequently asked questions.

What happens after I report it?

A surveyor inspects the cargo and issues a report. The claim is resolved on it and, if it applies, settled under the policy.

How long does it take?

With a complete file, it is usually resolved in about 45 days.

I signed for delivery without noting anything. Can I still claim?

You can, but it is harder: a clean signature records that it arrived in good order.

What if the damage is not visible on delivery?

Hidden damage can be claimed if reported in time and the cargo was not handled.

Does it cover loss of profit?

Not by default. It is a separate cover.

With parametric insurance, do I still report?

The data triggers payment, with no proof of damage. Tell us anyway so we can help.
